Canadian National built this building at the former Nutana yards in south Saskatoon for use as an engineman’s bunkhouse. It was used to house engineers and fireman laying over in Saskatoon between runs and was equipped with 10 bedrooms, kitchen, lounge and washrooms. It was later moved to Chappel yards when Nutana was abandoned in the early 1960s. The Museum has converted this building to a display building, staff lounge and curatorial office. It was acquired in 1991.
