We’re Open! May long weekend!

Saskatoon, May 2023

The Saskatchewan Railway Museum opens for its 2023 operating season this May long weekend! The museum opens to the public at 10 am on Saturday and runs through to Monday afternoon at 5 pm.

The museum is located on the Pike Lake Highway, just southwest of Saskatoon. Admission is $10 for adults and $7 for youth and seniors. Children under age 6 are admitted free of charge.

The Saskatchewan Railway Museum hosts a premiere collection of railcars and railway buildings, including: a 1957 CP locomotive, two snowplows, several cabooses, a fully-functional railway station, and an interpretative centre with a special display on Canada’s involvement in the internment of prisoners after the First World War. Visitors can climb on the trains and walk through the buildings. There is a picnic area on the grounds.

The public is invited to come out to our opening. We plan to have a small motorcar on the tracks to give visitors a ride.
