Oban Interlocking tower had its staircase rebuilt in 2012-2013. Once the old staircase was dismantled, museum volunteers found that the siding on the south face was rotten. This was replaced as well, then the new staircase erected. Future plans include reburbishing other siding on the building and rebuilding the train order board.
