When you first arrive at the Saskatchewan Railway Museum, you will be greeted by friendly volunteers and staff in the new WELCOME CENTRE and Gift Shop. The Welcome Centre is where you check in and purchase admission tickets.
[The former admissions office was situated in a 1919 bunkhouse and the Gift Shop was minimally renovated to provide retail space to support the non-profit museum. See pics.]
In 2021-22, we built a new admissions office that we call the Welcome Centre. This building houses admissions, gifts, staff room, and washrooms.
The new Gift Shop features an assortment of railway memorabilia, museum souvenirs, and smaller gift items suitable for all ages. Some of our more popular items include engineer hats, railway keychains, lapel pins, Thomas the Tank Engine merchandise, railway bandanas and more.
Our prices include all applicable taxes and the proceeds from sales go to cover operations and maintenance of the museum. We accept Interac and Credit cards in addition to cash and cheques.
For more information please contact the Gift Shop Manager, at [email protected] or (306) 382-9855.
We hope to complete the building this year, but we still need your help!
